Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Business Legal Management LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“we”, “us”), a management consulting company based in Dallas, Texas, handles information through Business Legal Rating (the “Service”).
Information we collect
- What you give us: your business details (name, website, industry, size, type, state), your assessment answers, and your contact details (name, email and, if you choose, job title and phone), plus whether you asked us to contact you.
- Website review data: if you enter a website, the text and technical signals from its public pages, such as which policies and tracking tools are present.
- Technical data: your IP address and browser type when you submit, used for security and abuse prevention.
We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don’t sell or share your personal information for advertising.
How we use it
- To produce your rating, website review, action plan and certificate.
- To contact you about your results, but only if you tick the box asking us to.
- To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
- In aggregated, de-identified form, to improve the questions and scoring.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run the Service. They may process your information only on our instructions:
- hosting (Vercel) and database (Supabase) providers
- email delivery (Resend), used to send us an alert when an assessment is submitted
- an AI model provider (OpenAI), which analyzes public website text when AI analysis is turned on. We send the website content and your industry, not your contact details.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
How long we keep it
We keep assessment records for up to 24 months after submission, then delete or de-identify them. You can ask us to delete your record sooner.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop contacting you. Email gbbrunt@businesslegalmanagement.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act or the California Consumer Privacy Act. We will respond within the time those laws require, and we won’t discriminate against you for exercising them.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and limited retention. No system is perfectly secure.
Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll post the update here with a new date.
